Riverwalk Place was the third building completed as part of a 9 building development complex, ultimately providing over 2 million GSF, accommodating 2,000+ residential units, in the Riverwalk neighborhood on Roosevelt Island, NY. The 16 story, 218 unit building accommodates market-rate condos as well as housing for Weill Cornell Medicine postdoctoral associates, faculty, and their families. Building amenities include a fitness center, garden, lounge, and roof deck.
The building structural system utilizes cast-in-place concrete construction, supported by a hybrid foundation system utilizing both piles to rock and footings to rock foundations necessary to address the underlying dramatic bedrock ledges below the building footprint.
